Alice Dinsmore

A celebration of life and mass for Alice Neblett Dinsmore, age 101, will be Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, in Clarksville, TN, with father Eric Fowlkes presiding.
Visitation will be Monday, August 13, from 4:30 to 6:30 at Sykes Funeral Home, in Clarksville with a rosary service at 6:30. Visitation on Tuesday, will begin one hour before the service at the ICC chapel.  Serving as Pallbearers will be, Austin Siders, Brian Poor, Matt Baggett,
Nathan Baggett, Ian Stephenson, and Gary Baker.
Alice passed away Friday, August 10,  2018 in Clarksville. She was born on July 17, 1917 in Palmyra, TN, to the late Annie Lou McCauley Neblett and William Robert Neblett. She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, William O'Neal Dinsmore, her son-in-law,
Claude Hoffpauir, and her daughter-in-law, Joetta Dinsmore.
Survivors include her 4 children, Mary Hoffpauir, JoAnn (Coy) Baggett, Dinah (Charles) Crow, and Michael (Donna) Dinsmore,
8 grandchildren, Mary O Smith, Beth Ladd, Lee Ann Hoffpauir, Matt Baggett, Jason Baggett, Mayme Siders, Alice Poor, and Annie Crow,
and 15 great-grandchildren.
Alice was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, in Clarksville, since 1946, and was their eldest parishioner at the time of her death. She worked for years as an Interior Decorator at McNeal and Edwards, in Clarksville, and later, along with her sister, Theo Johnson, helped design and sew costumes for Chaffin's Barn Dinner Theater, in Nashville, which was owned by another sister, Edna Lou Chaffin.
Alice was a loving mother and grandmother to her own, as well as a caring friend to anyone in need.
Her homemade biscuits were a family treasure!
