Adell Martin

Adell Katherine Parker Martin, 96, Clarksville, died Saturday, August 29, 2009, at her daughter's residence.
The funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday at Hilldale Baptist Church with Bro. Ken Andrews officiating.
Burial will be in Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery,. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service Monday at Hilldale Baptist Church.

Mrs. Martin was born February 23, 1913 in Stewart County, Tennessee one of twenty two children of the late Roberson Van Daley Parker and Mary Margaret Stough. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Silas Clark Martin, sons Charles Clinton Martin, Edward Eugene Martin, Billy Wayne Martin and daughter Anna Lou Martin.
Mrs. Martin was a Practical Nurse and a loving, caring wife, mother and "Memaw".
Mrs. Martin is survived by son James Vernon Martin, daughters Mary Grace Baget, Joyce Laverne Williams, Nancy Ruth Senn, Peggy Jo Phillips, Francis Diane Clark, Sara Kate Stephens, Connie Sue Yarbrough, Erika Martin, sister; Mary Louise Parker Nixon, Venice, Florida, 30 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren.
Mrs. Martin's grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
