Ada Lenora (Belew) Lindsey, 90, Clarksville, died Thursday, September 16, 2010, at her residence. The funeral will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday at Hilldale Church of Christ with Bro. Steve Kirby officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Saturday at Sykes Funeral Home and from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M. Sunday at Hilldale Church of Christ.
Mrs. Lindsey was born September 19, 1919 in Lawrence County, TN, the daughter of the late Rainy Mose Belew and the late Virgie Maude (Davis) Belew. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker and a member of Hilldale Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her infant child, James Oscar; her husband of 45 years, Glenn Elmore "Pete" Lindsey; her son Richard E. "Dick" Lindsey; her daughter Mary Glenn Wright; and her grandson Richard Wayne Lindsey. Survivors include her daughter Linda Kaye (Jay) Woodbeck of Fairfield Glade, TN; her daughter Lou Ann (Tom) Fidler of Murrells Inlet, SC; her son-in-law Charles Wright of Clarksville; her daughter-in-law Ginny Lindsey of Clarksville; nine grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons Donald Fidler, Mitchell Wright, Mike Wright, David Lindsey, Keith Kolaski and Ed Long. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hilldale Church of Christ, 501 Highway 76, Clarksville, TN 37043 or AseraCare Hospice, 1539-C Ashland City Bypass, Clarksville, TN 37040.
