A Celebration of Life for 1SG Mark Alvin Williams, ARMY (Ret), 77, of Clarksville, will be Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Kentucky Veteran's Cemetery West where full military honors will be rendered. Pastor Jeremy Duranceau will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home and again on Thursday from 10:30 AM until the time of service.
Mark was born on August 17, 1943 in Prescott, AR to George and Martha Woodard Williams. He passed away on May 17, 2021. Mark served in the United States Navy for 6 years and retired from the United States Army after 20 years of service. After his service in the military, Mark also retired as a Texas State Probation officer. He became a Christian at the age of 13 and most recently attended Community of Hope Church. Mark loved reading, running, and playing games.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Carlos Bueno and brother, Albert Williams. He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Patricia Williams; children: Jason Williams, Iris (Tecomus) Musgrove, William (Joan) Hill, Anthony (Paula) Hill, Kenneth Brown, and Kimberly (Tom) Williams; siblings: C.H. Williams, Georgie Peterson, Martha Garrison; and many more loving family members.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Gideon's or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
